Navigational Ecology

The User Interface

Navigational Ecology The User Interface is the relationship of your web site to your customers, clients and users. The development of graphic and text based links is as important as customer service in maintaining long term relationships.

The design of the whole site, related pages, information content, ordering and faq pages should be organized for ease of reading as well as understanding.

The ability to move through the site with no confusion and to keep from getting lost you must consider what the user is going to do.
Architecture and navigation are so interrelated that they are hard to seperate In fact separation is only for simplifying the process.

The dynamics of growth and the rate of change on the Internet will be come apparent in time.

Why it is so important to consider these relationships before we begin. Because like any system once you build it(will they come) sometimes it is easier to tear it down and start over than to keep building on a poor foundation or structure.
Development of navigational buttons, icons, navigational bars, and menus used throughout the pages should be organized so users can find the information they need and move through the site with ease.

The goals of your web site will determine how the navigation is implemented. If your are providing information, then users may be returning many times.

The design should be able to accomadate a range of user skills and interests.
